What a fun time of year. We have been eagerly anticipating Santa's arrival, eating way too much, and enjoying spending time with friends and family- and of course, the presents! Much to our surprise, Abby was very careful with all of the presents under the tree, and was just as excited to give a present as she was to receive one. Abby had so many presents to unwrap that at one point, when asked if she wanted to unwrap a gift, she would nicely say, "no." We started our Christmas on Saturday morning and continued until late Sunday night. Unfortunately for Abby, some of the festivities were cut short due to a stomach bug, which we are still trying to get rid of. Here are some pictures of our very fun and festive Christmas weekend! I wish I would have snapped more pictures, but everything was going by so fast!

Time for church
I lost my lens cap on Saturday afternoon, so I did not take my camera to my Grandmother's house for Christmas eve. I wish I would have, because my Grandmother is 85 and gets to celebrate Christmas with her Great Grandchildren!
Santa came to see Abby!

Unfortunately, this is the only picture I took at my parents house that night. Abby left shortly after this picture was taken with a stomach bug.
Monday morning- poor thing was so sick! Her Great Grandmother gave her the adorable silky night gown and robe. And let me tell you, Abby thought she was something else in her new pajamas.
Thank you to all of our family for such a fun weekend. Can't wait for next year when we will be celebrating Christmas with another baby!

Before Christmas
Our Christmas this year began on Thursday evening, so Abby and I stayed home all day long and played. It was nice to relax a little bit before the hustle and bustle began. It was cold and a little rainy, so we played, baked cookies, wrapped presents, and watched tv.
This is Abby's new trick- taking her clothes off!
Enjoying her first of many cookies
Watching her favorite movie, Frosty the Snowman
Decorating the cookies
Yum!

Getting ready for Christmas!
We have been busy getting ready for Christmas! Here is what we have been up to these past few weeks.
Saw Santa at the Enchanted Forest
Went to our annual friends Christmas party
Played outside
Worked up an appetite for a biscuit...
and some pancakes
Procrastinated going to school on a snowy Monday
Watched Frosty the Snowman in our brand new Princess sleeping bag
Changed baby's diaper over and over
Took a 3.5 hour nap
Had some friends over. Abby and Giuliana love each other!
Played hide and seek in the dresser
Picked ornaments off of the Christmas tree
We are ready for Santa!

Christmas Card attempts
I love Christmas cards. It's one of my favorite parts of the holiday. I especially love getting cards from old friends that Brandon and I went to high school and college with. It is so exciting to see everyone all grown up with families of their own. Since Thanksgiving I have been snapping away trying to find a suitable picture for our card. I think I took about 200 all together- to get Abby to sit still and not do her new "happy face" when the camera is around is getting harder and harder. Just as we were about to throw in the towel, we finally found one. Hopefully our cards will go out by next week. In the mean time, here are a few that didn't make the cut.
Merry Christmas!
