Hello Everyone!

We're BACK! Summer is over, and Abby is officially in school full time which means that there is a lot more time to do the tasks (blogging and ironing) that I have been putting off for several weeks now. Our summer has been BUSY. Aside from taking care of Abby and meeting her demanding activity schedule, we have a very sweet little boy to take care of as well. I could not have asked for a better baby with Charlie. He likes to do the following tasks in this particular order: eat, sleep, smile. He repeats these 3 activities throughout the day until he crashes around 8:00 pm and then is up again around 10 for his last feeding of the night. Around 7am we hear him in his room conversing with his fan, and thus the cycle repeats. We love him so much; before he came we worried about how much another baby would change our family, now we cannot imagine what our life would be like without him. I am going to try and blog as much as I can, but sometimes life just get in the way of that :) Here are a few pictures from our summer:
Swimming and Ice cream
Abby loves to hold Charlie
Sweet Charlie Kamm :)
We don't know where he get those pouty lips from!
Abby's first manicure! She loved it.
The first of many wrestling matches.
Showing her brother some love
When Charlie was first born he was falling asleep while he ate, so he wasn't gaining much weight. In fact, at his first weight check he was only at the 6th percentile. It didn't take too long to fatten him up; this guy loves to eat and is chunking up nicely. Here is his full face.
Mom had a birthday...
Charlie didn't know what to think of this.
Still swinging
And Smiling!
Played in some water
And were up to no good!

Abby's animals

These plastic animals came from the dollar bin at Michael's and have quickly become some of Abby's favorite toys to play with. Gotta love a good bargain! She loves to put them on the top of her slide, push them down one at a time, and then slide to the bottom to get them. She repeats this process over and over again. Here she is drawing and talking to her animals.
Abby does have a favorite animal-- a giraffe that she has named, Suzanne. We don't know if she knows that this is Grandmommy's name or not, but hearing her call her giraffe Suzanne is pretty cute!

Digging in the Dirt

Even though Abby is sassy, girly, and loves her clothes, there is one thing that she loves to do that is messy and dirty, and that is dig in the dirt. Her fingernails have dirt underneath them that is impossible to get out even after a good scrubbing. We painted her fingernails at Target the other day to try and hid some of the dirt! She has a watering can and a few gardening tools that keep her occupied for quite a while. If she finds a worm it's like striking gold, but we did have to tell her not to pull them apart. Poor worm! Brandon and I both love to watch her play outside- even though when she comes in she is stinky, dirty, and going through play clothes like there is no tomorrow! She loves to get good and dirty!
Time for tea and a little dirt!
Found a worm!
Poor worm!

Pizza

Abby's favorite food to eat is pizza! We let her make one for dinner the other night and she thought she was quite the chef. Thank goodness it was right after bath and her hands were clean--she kept scooping up the cheese that she had sprinkled on top and was shoving it in her mouth! This little girl LOVES pizza!

Tigers

Abby loves the tigers that are at the University of Memphis right now to celebrate the schools centennial. The tigers are also scattered throughout the city, but most are on Poplar Avenue. She talks about them all the time, has her favorites, and wants to touch every single one of them. I took her to U of M the other day and let her play with the tigers that are in front of the library. While we were there she decided they were dirty and used a wipe on their paws and tails.
Her favorite tiger is at the corner of White Station and Park. It is a blue tiger with huge whiskers and chains- no idea why this one is so appealing, but it is! She talks about the blue tiger all of the time, and every time we get in the car she asks if she can go and see the blue tiger. She is dying to get out and touch it, but for now, we just look from the window of the car.
