Thanksgiving
I love this day. No presents, no hustle and bustle, just food and family.
GIrls Day Out...
Last week Abby and I had a day out with just us girls. We needed this time together desperately. We had a lot of fun getting our nails done, grabbing some lunch, and having some ice cream.
This really is the best way to spend $3!
Eating some lunch at Bronte.
Enjoying our Sweet CeCe's ice cream
Getting up to dance!
What a mess!

November, thus far-
For some reason, November has absolutely flown by! Wish it would all slow down for just a second, but I think it is only going to go by faster. Charlie is almost 6 months old, is rolling over and is very close to sitting up on his own. He is still sleeping through the night, but will cry out once or twice when he loses his paci. Abby is quite the little social butterfly these days. We have toured several school, had lots of play dates, and have tried not to let the time change interfere with playing outside. Here is a picture recap:

Charlie has officially outgrown his baby bath
is developing a sweet personality,
and a cute little smirk.Charlie has also developed eczema on his face. His cheeks will turn bright red and bumpy, but will get better and then worse again as the day goes on. We talked with the Pediatrician, have switched all soaps, cleaners, lotions, and detergents to "free and clear," and can tell a significant difference. Hoping that this will nip it in the bud.
Charlie has begun teething, and sought relief in his teether, Sophie, the giraffe
Apparently Abby is teething, too
Abby loves her brother,
and Charlie loves his sister
Abby is "reading" like crazy, and Mommy got her workout in! (with our neighbor, Field)Nothing like watching Minnie's Bowtique while playing with your Minnie Mouse balloonWe have been touring schools this last week and have a lot to think about it! Here is Abby at one of the open house play date.I think she loved it!Brandon and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary this past weekend. Cannot believe we have been married for 5 years and have 2 kids! We went to Iris and enjoyed one of the best meals I think I have ever had. This was the surf 'n turf: a steak stuffed with friend oysters and topped with blue cheese- wow!The most amazing bread pudding I have ever had! What a great month its been!

Trick or Treat!
Love, love Halloween! This year we had a party in our front yard for all of the neighbors. We let all of the kids bounce in a bouncy house, ate chili dogs, cheesy dips and cupcakes. The kids had a blast, and after about an hour or so were ready to trick or treat. I only snapped a few pictures...here are Mickey and Minnie!
Sassy Mini Mouse
Abby and her sweet friends; Field the Skeleton, and Lila the GhostWe went trick or treating for about an hour or more, came home, took a bath, watched tv, and went to bed way past our bed time. It was so much fun, and I can't wait to do it again next year.

Lately...
Books were read
bouncies bounced...
and lots of smiles.
Streets were cruised...
and tantrums thrown.
Movies watched
cards decorated...
and birthdays celebrated
Love was spread
and naps were taken
all while Halloween awaits...
Go, Charlie, Go!
For the last month or so, Charlie has been trying so hard to roll over. His biggest obstacle-- his left arm. He has been so close so many times, but just couldn't seem to get his left arm out from underneath him. Finally, after weeks of persevering he was able to roll from back to tummy. We actually missed it the first time since he rolled over in his crib while we thought he was napping. He waited one more day and then rolled all the way over in front of an audience at my Grandmother's house. Pretty neat when you think about it; my grandmother witnessed her great grandchild roll over for the first time. Since then, this is all Charlie wants to do, and has even rubbed the skin on his cheeks raw from all the rolling over.
Trying so hard
This was one of the first times that I actually heard Charlie get really mad and fuss. He was trying so hard, but just couldn't do it.
Way to go, Charlie!

Pumpkin Patch
Last week Abby and her friend, Jake, met at the pumpkin patch for a play date. These two have a love/hate relationship that stems back to when they were very little.
A little example of the 2 frenemies in actionBut as they have gotten older Abby and Jake really do love each other, and constantly ask about the other. Whenever we get together for a play date, Katherine (Jake's mom) and I talk about how much Abby asks about Jake, and visa versa. Here are they are enjoying the pumpkins. Cute little friends :)
