Popsicles

The weather this weekend was unseasonably hot. The high yesterday reached 89, beating the old record by 5 degrees. Needless to say, it was roasting out. After Abby ate her lunch we went outside to eat a popsicle. She loves popsicles! Just a little warning, red does not come out of clothes. No matter what brand, what kind, with sugar, or sugar free, it does not come out. I have learned the hard way and from now on, we will eat red with nothing but a diaper on. She was a sticky mess by the time we were finished, but she loved it! Nothing like a popsicle and a wagon ride.

We think that these photos turned out so great. We had to cancel 3 times before we were able to have our session. The weather in Memphis can be so unpredictable. Well worth the wait!

Abby's wagon

We dusted off Abby's wagon this weekend and out the door we went. Along with swinging and playing outside, wagon riding is another favorite past times. When we lived on Century, Abby and I would ride up and down the street over and over. Since she is a little but more mobile, she is eager to walk along side the wagon, but still loves to take a ride.

Fun at the park

We went to the park this weekend because the weather was fantastic and did one of Abby's favorite activities; swinging can occupy hours of her time. In fact, when you pull her out of the seat get ready for the water works. She absolutely loves it. We realized that we need to get a swing pronto! We were hoping the Easter bunny could take of this but we need one sooner :) Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

The weather here is starting to warm up and outside we will go! Our next door neighbors live in CA most of the time and pop into Memphis whenever they get a craving for BBQ. What a life, huh? Anyway, they keep the most immaculate yard you have ever since which is a perfect place for Abby to pick flowers.







Hope they don't mind that their pansies are becoming a little sparse!

Spring Break and more

I actually wrote most of this post last Tuesday. Brandon was playing tennis and Abby was asleep so I decided to blog. I got to the very end and was about to post my last picture when all of a sudden, everything was gone. It was pretty frustrating since I spent about 2 hours working on this blog. So here I am at it again. This time Abby is trying to take a nap and Brandon went to go and pick up 3 kitchen chairs that we recently bought for our breakfast room. The house is semi quiet so here it goes...

We spent our spring break getting settled into our new home. Which we love by the way! Wednesday afternoon we had some friends over and out of no where, Abby crawled into my lap and watched her friends play. She took an almost 3 hour nap and when she woke up she had a 102 fever. After a visit to the doctor we found out she had terrible ear infections and a sore throat. Here is how we spent the last few days of the break.

After bring cooped up inside for several days we got out the last day of the break to enjoy some fantastic weather. The dress that Abby is wearing in this picture was mine as a little girls. She is chowing down on a chocolate chip cookie!

Blogging...

Brandon and I have decided to jump on the blogging bandwagon. Originally we started an email account in Abby's name so that she would be able to send emails to family. For some reason we were having trouble sending out pictures, so we had to think of another way to keep family and friends in the loop. Blogging was the most logical. Hopefully, as I get a little bit more used to this I can jazz up the blog and make it a little bit more fancy. For now, what you see is what you get :) Hope this finds everyone well.
